Athena is a Senior Clinical Psychologist with over eight years of experience in the field of clinical psychology. She holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (Hons) from HELP University.
Athena is deeply passionate about supporting children with special needs and their families, helping them navigate challenges and improve their quality of life. She is professionally trained in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and providing evidence-based interventions. Her experience spans government hospitals, private clinics, special education schools, and non-governmental organizations, where she has worked closely with children and adolescents facing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
She provides individual and family-based interventions for concerns such as anxiety, depression, bullying, stress, anger management, behavioral issues, social difficulties, school refusal, learning difficulties, grief and loss, family separation, self-esteem, and life transitions. Athena also specializes in assessing and supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Learning Disorders, and Intellectual Disabilities.
Before becoming a clinical psychologist, Athena spent six years working with children and teenagers in Klang Valley, offering academic support, family guidance, and parenting-related interventions. She is also experienced in conducting group programs, therapeutic camps, seminars, and workshops for children, parents, and educators.
