Firuz graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy at Curtin University, Perth, Australia. She has more than 10 years experience working with special needs children with different diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), Global Developmental Delay (GDD), Cerebral Palsy, Sensory Processing Disorder, Down Syndrome and a variety of other genetic conditions.
Her motivation when working with kids living with neurodivergent background is to improve their quality of life, promote independence and allow them to achieve a productive and fulfilling life. This is achieved through working on sensory processing issues, gross and fine motor skills, self care skills, cognitive skills and play skills. It is also imperative to work closely with the parents to offer individualised strategies that will help their child progress in areas of function and independence at home and in the community.
Her passion as an OT is to provide each child she works with the confidence in their abilities to feel competent and ready for the world.
